A PPA can also be removed this way but I don't believe the software installed
from it is removed and replaced by the versions by the distribution (if they
are available).
I tried removing a PPA using ppa-purge from Taranis backports but it didn't
work. Even installing a newer version of ppa-purge (from Ubuntu's
repositories) and adding -d lucid didn't help. I suppose the only PPAs one
can remove are those specifically designed for Trisquel which really limits
I am not certain since I so not any need PPA anymore but can't it be removed
from the second tab (other softwares) of the update sources (in the
System/Administration menu)?
