I guess a libre driver with proprietary firmware is better than a proprietary  
driver, but that's rather like saying that tooth decay is better than not  
having teeth at all.

I don't want give my money to AMD buying their blobbed furnance GPUs. I  
prefer buy Kepler, which is works firmwareless, and performs with Nouveau  
like with blob.

Nvidia will only release signed firmware due to their mentality of keeping  
their hardware "safe" by locking out anyone and everyone from writing  
firmware that could potentially leave the hardware open to potential security  
vulnerabilities. Of course that is their viewpoint and not mine as having the  
firmware open under the bazaar model will benefit them.
