The easiest way to watch the live show with Trisquel (it starts in less than
30 minutes):
Lauch the Totem video player (in Trisquel's default install);
Type Ctrl+L (or something like menu Movie/Open a location);
Copy/paste one of those two lines:
If you can wait until later in the day, Chris will post a WebM version when
its listed at http://www.jupiterbroadcasting.com/show/linuxactionshow/
Thanks magic 'nana although I feel like I shouldn't be seeing this! (funny)
“A nonfree program can only benefit those who don't value their freedom,
and thus serves as a temptation for people to give up their freedom. That is
harmful to society.“ – RMS, 2002
it makes me sad when goverments get away with censorship
if you want to view youtube videos with libre javascript
in your browser
here is a good video:
https://goblinrefuge.com/mediagoblin/u/onpon4/m/tutorial-bypassing-youtube-javascript-requirements/
thanks!
you can paste the url in minitube - it will start playing the video. that's
right poglako!
How will people be watching this? I've tried watching youtube live with vlc
but the most I ever get is about ten seconds before it crashes. My internet
is pretty slow, about 3mb download. Messed with the settings but it always
seems to pick the highest resolution which can't help.
I have a slow Internet connection, too. I'll just be watching it via
youtube.com.
I don't have to worry about youtube's proprietary javascript in the HTML5
player, thanks to the addon youtube-html5-player, which comes enabled by
default with IceCat.
tomlukeywood: Just go to media/ open network stream and paste the url there.
I'm pretty ruthless with javascript these days so all youtube gets played in
VLC this way or downloaded with unplug and DownThemAll. In the UK now lots of
videos to do with local government and the scandals coming to
i have a fast internet connection how do you watch live youtube videos with
vlc??
also if your using wifi you could try connecting to your router with a
Ethernet cable as that would be a faster more reliable connection
Just paste the video URL into VLC with Ctrl+V, or Media-Open Location from
clipboard.
LAS videos get published as recordings. So there's that.
minitube! Though, it's best that you know the exact title of the video.
Good to hear!
