A mod can, but yeah... been there done that. you can however reinstall
thankfully gnu/linux makes that easy.

It seems like it purged my home directory when I turned off the computer. Is
there a way I can close the topic?

[Trisquel-users] Stuck at login screen after messing with partitions

This
question seems to be related but it doesn't have an answer.
https://trisquel.info/en/forum/partition-problems

Yesterday I tried to copy some files over from my portable hard drive
and I got an error telling me I had ran out of disk space. I thought it
was weird, because I barely had any files on my computer. I started
gnome-disks and it told me most of my disk was free space. I also saw a
little (1 KiB iirc) partition with an unknown partition type. I tried to
format it with NTFS but then all of the default Trisquel partitions
turned into one 20 GB bootable Ext4 partition. At first I thought it
didn't really matter, so I attempted to format the left over free space
but I got an error about the selected range colliding with a different
partition.

After restarting my computer, the only thing which shows up is the
Trisquel logo on the default wallpaper, and a message saying
"keys:Continue to wait, or Press S to skip mounting or M for manual
recovery." When I press S it takes me to a loop where the login screen
takes me back to the login screen.

How can I get it back to normal?
