Since everyone is throwing suggestions: I use RequestPolicy Continued. It blocks all external links. This practically removes all ads and blocks all spy services, like Google Analytics and many-many others. It works by you specifing which domains the site is able to make requests to.

The directories with random names must have been created by some poorly coded application (which you may have not properly closed). Deleting them should not be problematic. Try that command to empty your trash bin: $ rm -rf ~/.local/share/Trash/*/* If it outputs errors, show them to us.

To clarify, you're wrong to assume that Trisquel uses the Ubuntu repositories. Trisquel has its own repositories, though the software in them is from Ubuntu's repositories (compiled from source, not just copying the binaries; and in many cases with custom patches applied).

What the FSF says, as far as I know is not that It's free if it can't be updated. I think they said something like, if it can't be tweaked, it can be counted as hardware, and since we specialise in software.

Ni hao Rocket, I would not recommend it, but in theory it should be possible. Most Libre systems use scripts to remove the non-free software and documentation, would be alot of work to do this program by program. Ruben, perhaps Trisquel could offer a mirror in Hong Kong or Taiwan?
