The error was about the missing 32-bit loader, not about the program you were
trying to run (which clearly did exist.) It's a hard to fix shortcoming in
the OS that only the error is returned, and not that the error actually
concerns a different file from the one you're trying to run.
To be clear, this is not a new thing. If you didn't experience it before,
it's probably because you already had the 32-bit libraries installed.
I will test it under Trisquell at the weekend and give you an answer. Actuall
it works well under a Ubuntu system. I had in mind, that also Ubuntu would
ask when the card needs any other firmware than the ath9k?
Hello,
i recently installed Trisquel on my desktop with full disk encryption.
With this setup i experience a strange bug which causes the system to freeze
while booting up.
The problem is fixed easily by pressing the reset button to repeat the POST.
Without disk encryption i did not
reinstall is best option
No; I've never experienced this. My Trisquel with full disk encryption and
LVM works just fine.
It's not that simple.
Obviously, Ubuntu's kernel is full of blobs (proprietary software), Mint,
Lubuntu, Kubuntu...too.
No, usually kernel loads needed drivers/firmwares at boot, or when something
is being plugged-in.

Sure, all wifi cards work in Ubuntu for its kernel is full full full full of
proprietary firmware, so when you plug in an adapter that needs proprietary
firmware it will work because that proprietary blob is there in the kernel,
it's loaded
Pitivi 0.97 is available, but the most recent version Trisquel 7 will give me
from the repos is 0.93. Pitivi support the use of Flatpak to allow me to
upgrade to the latest version in this situation:

But Trisquel 7 doesn't have flatpak. So I
