But also, any libre NAS aka mini servers, technically named network-attached
storages?
If MiniFree also offers Bitcoins payments it isn’t that hard to get, unless
you nation doesn‘t have Bitcoin ATMs at all.
I have a problem with Flidas I don't know how to explain without using what I
call the "deepness of the location of a file".
Do you understand me when I use that expression to make my question?
For example, I would say that initrd.img is not deeply located in the file
structure because its location is /
I would also say that it is located in the first level of deepness.
On the other hand, I would say that dao.h 's location is quite deep, because
its location is
16th level of deepness
you gotta go deep
I discovered the problem when trying to link an .HTML document that is at the
16th level of deepness to another .HTML document that is also at the same
level of deepness but of another folder.
I have linked other .HTML documents before without problems.
I currently don't recall the deepness

im a fan of pypy but it seems like you should be using cpython. do you have
pip installed? i believe it is available in trisquel.

Thank you for asking
I'm getting an error and I don't know if long paths are compatible with
Flidas.
This is what I would like to know:
Does Flidas have some limit regarding the length of the paths that are used
with it?
Are you saying the path is too long and you are getting an error?
@ loldier
Thank you for trying to help.
I have made so many attempts to solve the problem and changes in the address
of the starting link that currently when I click on it I'm not receiving an
error screen and I am able to access folders that have a much longer path

Not quite, I do care about program size.
Because most likely, the larger the program size, the more ram used which
means...
More battery life used.
And that I care about a whole lot.
its incredible how much of the iso is just locales. ive watched icons reach
absurd proportions too. to the point where im like: do we even need icons?
i get that some people want icons. i havent consider icons useful in ages.
when the old expected size of a distro is 0.6gb (note: thats still
"the larger the program size, the more ram used which means...

im having a difficult time figuring out the likelihood that youre right about
this. it would be an interesting way to stretch the battery usage:
It boggles the mind that so many "light" or in Trisquel's case "mini" distros
can't fit on a cd anymore. All I want is a base system, reasonable window
manager, and the ability to install what I want via wifi out of the box. I've
taken to mini-ISO's and net-install so I can opt into the

I do not understand the rationale: the large program has to be read from the
disk to be loaded into main memory.
if more ram = less swap = less hdd use and the hdd uses way more power than
the ram, then installing more ram could

Thank you for the link!
I also distrust my keyboard skills and therefore I haven't ruled typos out.
But I also suspect of the shallowness of my knowledge on links and on the way
in which I configured the storage media I am using.
I am trying to gather evidence about these
@ loldier
This is the sort of reply I received from Abrowser when the problem began
this table says it doesnt have a path limit:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_file_systems
the filename limit is 255 bytes.
youll want to show the error you got.
even though the filesystem doesnt have a limit, its possible you found one in
a program. this seems unlikely, but
try going to file:/// and then clicking on media, then the next folder, until
you get to the file you wanted to open.
that will save you the hassle of typos. you can probably drag the file onto
the url bar (or browser window) as well.
you can probably drag the file to the bookmarks bar and
There exists a maximal number of characters in the URL:

However, your long URL should not even be close to reaching the limit.
Probably a typo...
