The pinout is the same, you can safely proceed. Raspberry Pi actually has
enough power to flash the chip on it's own, without an external power supply.
Also, clean the chip's legs with a bit of alcohol and a clean brush before
flashing. Sometime debris and dirt interfere with the clip
