Did you try to keep typing, then press Enter? I've experienced a bug where
Nautilus would stop showing your changes occasionally, but it was actually
still reading the keyboard and pressing Enter caused the file to be renamed
appropriately.
had this bug on my old systems. had to kill nautilus
command for ref:
$ killall -9 nautilus
so note that the folders you have open will be closed, you'll just have
to reopen them. I think it might be fixed in the latest nautilus? what
trisquel version are you on?
hmm, I don't remember, I will try if it happens again.
GNOME Flashback still uses Nautilus, in fact the only difference is that it
uses GNOME Panel instead of GNOME Shell, and Metacity instead of Mutter as
the window manager. All other programs are the same.
