The attached file is pure html code. Drop the extension (txt), rename it
'redshift_conf.html' (without quotes); then you will be able to read it in
your browser. It's been taken from the corresponding Redshift page.
Interesting, I'll check it out:)
Open a text editor, fill in a file and save it at ~/.config/redshift.conf.
I believe you misunderstood my question.
I was not wondering about what a config file is.
Rather I was wondering about how one "adds a config file" in this specific
situation:)
How do you create the config file?
Thankythank thank you sir
well done!
Done :)

This is good and I have already installed it. May I ask what your theme for
FF is?

If it was indeed preinstalled that's a bug and you should report it. If you
installed it and it failed to pull in a necessary dependency then it is also
a bug and you should report it. Either way: report it. :)
Makes me wonder why they have put a program in the main menu by default, but
excluded another which is needed to run said program :/
sudo apt install geoclue-2.0
The Trisquel 8 I am running now already have something called "redshift" in
the main menu under accessories. But unfortunately I get this message when
I'm trying to open the program:
"Failed to run Redshift

I think you misunderstood my question.
Is it advisable to use a public instance or set up own?:)
Oh, searX is a search enginge?
I thought it was just some general nickname for "any search engine".
What is it that makes searX "good" compared to others like StartPage for
example?
> (just a little though!! use searX \0/ )
The quality of their image search results, and the interface, reminds me
of Google Images circa 2005.

I use the WebExtension called Stylus to apply a global Solarized theme I
found on GitHub. Unfortunately, it has no license, so I don't feel
comfortable recommending it to others.
If you find another CSS that works and has a license, send me a
screenshot of what it looks like and I will use it.
Well, your enthusiasm excuses you a little :)

No problem!
It's me who should be pardoning for shooting out questions east and west like
a child who wanders in to the middle of a movie.
Sorry m8 Graven, I was in a hurry when I answered, I didn't consider your gnu
freshess. Tx m8 Mason for the explanation.
I followed the steps, and even got the same "terminal must be restarted" as
you got, but "Solarized" doesn't appear in the profile preferences :/
Anyway, thanks a lot! :)
I find it easier just to install redshift through the Trisquel repositories
:D

I just tried running it myself. You'll get a message saying the terminal must
re restarted. Don't worry when you this. Nothing went wrong. I think it just
means that you need to restart the terminal to apply the new theme. After that,
you can apply the new theme to the terminal in 'Edit->Profile
$ git clone https://github.com/oz123/solarized-mate-terminal.git
Creates a copy "clone" of the repository at that URL. It will be saved in
whatever directory you are currently in. When you open a new terminal you will

I never solarized the mate-terminal but here is the way to go ->

sudo apt-get install git
git clone https://github.com/oz123/solarized-mate-terminal.git
cd into the folder and run the script
Nice! Is it usable on the "MATE Terminal" that I currently use in Trisquel 8?
I'm fairly new to the concept of free software and tinkering with devices in
this manner, I didn't quite understood how I install it.

Your eyes deserve it :)
I would really love to get at least the background color and the text color,
preferably the light combo, in d browser.
FF? Solarize? I do not know what this is, but it sounds attractive
Magic B, do you know if it would be possible to 'solarize' my FF without
using an addon? I hear you can use stylish to get there but it does not work
on v. 57. Another addon I've tried and it works is 'recolor' but it does not
work as I would like it to in that it needs to first load the enti

Thanks.
"Dark Background Switcher could not be installed because it is not compatible
with Abrowser 57.0.1." :/
Thanks anyway
