Thanks for making me discover Jaaa and Japa.
I second the vlc plugin for Jack.
But I would avoid mixing pulseaudio with Jack.

As for the "Entrée", so there is the mic input. To me it's normal, I mean I  
don't expect to see anything else.

But I'm no expert at this.

Hopefully with the vlc plugin, vlc will appear in Qjackctl, and you might be  
able to connect vlc to Japa in "clients en écriture". At least that's what I  
understand.

vlc has a jack audio output plugin in the repo.

theres also a pulseaudio jack package or a package that has the bits
needed to connect pulseaudio to jack. i forget the name. i think you can
guess search in synaptic.

I have forgot to say that is is impossible to connect the pink and white  
lines of japa with the playbacks 1 and 2. Nothing will happen
