I thought I'd pass on my experience of installing Mandrake 9.0 this weekend. Both the upgrade and the later install went smoothly, but I'd suggest just doing the install and format everything but your home partition. There are so many library changes and major program upgrades that a clean start is preferable (ie GCC 3.1, KDE 3, Gnome 2, QT3). The new setup wizards are even better than 8.2's. Things seem to be faster in the graphical mode. I'm still waiting for a dselect type interface to urpmi.
