Well, that's certainly a question you don't see every day. I would think that
the major bootloaders would have no problem booting MS-DOS, I assume the
bootloading process has stayed the same. Esoteric questions like that are
probably better served with a Google search, I would suggesting searchi

Ok, one final (I hope) version of the poster, as it was pointed out that it
might be a good idea to tell people what month it was. err, yeah, I, uhh,
forgot that people couldn't, umm, read my mind? Anyway, same place as before.

Thanks to the people who pointed that out. Well, now its official, Peter can't
spel vry wel. Also, the Gimp needs a spell check plugin. Anywho, the
corrected version is now up, same place as before.

The correct spelling for the word is "preparatory" (Notice an "a" not an "e").
Just FYI. We want them to know that Linux people are smart and can spell
big words like "preparatory". :-)
Also, regarding that meeting, I'm sure PM is assumed, but it might be good
to include that instead of jus
Just a quick thing, to turn off the =20 stuff, you need to use 8-bit encoding.
I think you're using KMail, so to do that, open up the config dialog and go
to the Network screen. In the drop down box "Message property" select "Allow
8-bit". That should also fix your pgp sign.

Ok, I've got the poster basically done, I'll be posting it around the campus
(primarly in VH, but possibly other places) sometime this week. To those of
you on campus, post it on your door! To everyone, tell your roomate,

Sweet, is that the same place we had it last time? It sounds like it
must be from the room number. I received Partition Magic 8.0 today, so
we should be set on that front. Also, for the next meeting I should
have the kiosk from ITS for upstairs in VH. We might be able to work
on it at the
These would be good factoids to know. Unfortunately, I can't tell you
till I know, and that won't be until Monday or Tuesday after I get a
room reservation and confirmation. I'll make sure you have the
important info by next week.

When is the install fest (like time when, not date when)? Also, where is it? I
figure it might be good to know that before I start this publicity thingy.

What kind of system are you planning on putting it on?
What distro do you want?
Desktops with Win 9x are pretty easy to install, but laptops with win 2k
or XP are more difficult. If it is using NTFS, partition magic will be
required to resize the windows partition. If there is a FAT 32 (Windows
I'd be more than willing to help out if noone else wants to take it,
should be fairly convienient as I also am in Ryle (368).
As it turns out I can be at the install fest the whole time! woohoo!

Nate,
Dr.Beck told me to get a hold of you. I want to put Lenox on my computer
and keep my windows too. Could you ask if there would be someone willing to
help me prepare my computer for InstallFest? I have no idea what I need to
do to get it ready. I'd appreciate your help.
Thanks
