I took a look at the RC and didn't see any issues. It includes all the
stuff I expected, and I was able to download and run the samples. I'm not
enough of an Apache expert to comment on whether all the procedural issues

Yes there is a reason for this. The current assembly model
I think the M2 arrangement for the construction of the WAR file
was quite complex and hard to reproduce by non-maven users who
didn't have the special plugin. I wrote some documentation for
the web site in case anyone wanted to do this with M2 and it wasn't
very easy, especially the

The IPMC has found an issue with a missing notice in the SDO C++ source
release being voted on. To fix this I can either remove the offending file
