The Emmy winner list seemed like a duplication of TV part of GG a week ago,
which was kind of wierd. Awards voters love The Bear (as do I), but maybe
spread it around a bit? Oddly, I read the GG was for Season 2 and Emmys for
S1. They also love White Lotus and Succession, which I do not, but
Correct, WPHL is owned by Nexstar, so it was natural that the affiliation would
move over there.

With the end of the Arrowverse, I think the only thing left that I watch
regularly on The CW is "Whose Line...?", but even that'll be going away
soon. And come to think of it, I'm not even sure where the CW affiliation
went in Philly - I know that with the split from CBS, WPSG/57 is back to
I watched a bit of the awards show during commercial breaks during the game
and I was pleased with what I saw. The show seemed less bombastic than in
previous years and nobody was pretending that TV, or the awards, were more
important than what they are.

As always, I question yet another British actor playing yet another
American for no good reason, but there was enough here to bring me back.
On the other hand, I found so much to dislike in the reincarnation of "True
Detective" that I won't be back. Too many unpleasant characters, amateurish

Philly rejoices as Quinta Brunson is top comedy actress... and John Oliver
rules late night again...

You received this message because
David Smith decided to personally acquire Baltimore Sun Media, which also
includes regional small papers and magazines in the region, in the interest
of preserving local news... intriguing given his company's penchant to
centralize operations, am I right?

At least his accent is passable. Some of them make me convinced the British
still hold a grudge against Dick Van Dyke for his accent in Mary Poppins.
I like that for Spade’s wardrobe, they seem to have taken a cue from what
Bogart wore in his later years. Makes sense, considering he wore his own
My DVR was set to record new episodes of "Whose Line," but when the current
run of episodes started in November, I noticed it wasn't working anymore. I
soon discovered that was because CW had changed its affiliation from WPSG
to WPHL, and my DVR was set to record only from the old station.
