I met him at Cinefest too. My favorite of his Late Show appearances was when
he did Who Asked For It and was introduced as Phil Sterling from Syracuse who
taught film.

Rick was the guy who found all the obscure film clips that turned up on Dave's
shows, like the clip of a monkey washing a cat. I knew him from when I used to
attend the Syracuse Cinefest every year along with my fellow vintage movie
enthusiasts. Can't say I knew him well, but I do remember him being a very nice
guy.
