I've always had a soft spot for *Another World*- in the 80s, but i've heard 
some old airchecks of *AW* from the late 60s-early 70s- and the writing was 
really good. The music was suppled by a organ that was used back in the 
radio days. Also a throwback to the radio days was the use of an announcer- 
in this case Bill Wolff, who was an NBC staff guy(like Don Pardo was then). 
Wolff mostly announced the sponsors and if needed cast changes and to tell 
viewers to stay tuned for *You Don't Say*(game show with Tom Kennedy) at 
the end. A lot of the older shows use announcers too- Alan Berns on CBS did 
*Guiding 
Light* for many years. Mel Brandt, who did the "in living color" 
announcements, also was the announcer for *The Doctors* too.
