(Confirmed; divorced from the Hodgman thread)

After having my GI system scoped from both ends (yes, they cleaned the 
equipment in-between) the other week, a urologist's about to do similar to 
part of the area of his focus -- he's looking for calculi, which I'm not 
totally sure he'll even find -- tomorrow... I'm still waiting for the 
gastro to tell me what (if anything) he found...  B

I'm hoping it's not going to be even that long, given I've repeatedly told 
the gastro I've only really suffered a couple or three random attacks... no 
ongoing stuff here. Still, his 'script' was written with enough refills to 
last a year...

IANAD: see if you can get by with an H2-class drug before starting a PPI 
(pantoprazole) if there’s any indication you’ll be on this for more than a few 
weeks.  Lots of studies have proven, and I can vouch first-hand for some of 
them, that long-term PPI use is not your friend…

The colonoscopy (and, apparently, endoscopy of my upper GI tract in the same 
session) went well, per the "gastro" that did it.

However, I imagine there'll be a followup appointment eventually, after he gave
