Hi all: What is the difference between 9-pin null modem and 25-pin null modem ?
I was reading an article on remote kernel debugging and the author insists on using a 25-pin null modem. For all my kernel debugging requirements, I use a 9-pin serial cable. For serial communication, what benefit would the extra pins entail. It is understandable if one needs to connect to the printer, but for serial line debugging ? Can somebody throw light on this ? thanks Saifi.
