Whtz the conclusion?

Should colleges continue teaching students C on Turbo C IDE or move over to
building code using gcc on Linux or using cygwin?

On windows the alternatives are cygwin and Eclipse.

Using out dated and IMHO retarded software does more harm than good. It does
not even report a security warning warning when gets is used! I've tried to
get my university to switch to better alternatives but in vain.
