Alex introduced a limit (15/hr ) to verify_credentials – even
authentic calls. But IIRC, this was later removed, looks like it's
back.

Hmm, is this even allowed (by Adsense)?

This is occurring with OAuth as well. verify_credentials is now being
limited to 15 calls/hour. I really wish they had informed us in
advance, at least not a day before weekend.

I asked the same thing of Alex - waiting to hear back. This method is still
very useful for verifying users haven't changed their passwords since the
last time the script was run.  Also, in Alex's own words, OAuth isn't ready
for production yet, last I heard so probably shouldn't go that route either
 (or is it?).

I can see why this api should be limited, but it seems (from the

However, if you paste in a link that is less than 30 characters,
we'll post it in its entirety. If it's longer than 30 characters,
we'll convert it to a shorter URL.

[twitter-dev] Re: Enable ability to block apps via Twitter or the API

We have source blocking built into our service :)

Not going to name names, but there are a few really noisy apps out there
right now.  It would be really nice if, via either the API (my preference as
it would be less work on your part and fits well with my app), or the UI,
you enabled users to block receiving Tweets generated from specific apps.
This would then punish the app developers for creating spammy apps and not
the users themselves for just using what was put out there, making it much
less of a mess to control.  Facebook does this, as does FriendFeed.  Any
chance you could enable this (please???) for Twitter?

 Thanks,
