For those of you interested by the email components (SMTP and POP3), there is a new informational RFC (http://www.ietf.org/rfc/rfc5598.txt). This RFC provides information for the Internet community. It does not specify an Internet standard of any kind. It is interesting to get a good idea about internet mail architecture which is desirable to better use the components.
