Hi !

I uploaded a new REST demo to ICS-V7 SVN repository. This demo shows how to access REST services at Google and Yahoo web sites. Google is used to fetch the latitude and logintude for a number of locations and fill a string grid with the result while Yahoo is used to get an image for a map at a given location.

REST stands for "Representational State Transfer". For an introduction to REST, see wikipedia article:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Representational_State_Transfer

The demo is not included in the sample projects group right now. You have to explicitely open it. It's name is OverbyteIcsRestDemo.dproj. This is for Delphi 2010 because it make use of PNG image (required for Yahoo).

The files are available from http://svn.overbyte.be:8443/svn/ics/branches/icsv7/Delphi/Internet/
As usual, use "ics" for both usercode and password to access the repository.

Enjoy,
