You must have a message loop for events to be triggered.
I have no idea if your "web based code" has one or not. Probably not.
You must add one. That's the same problem as console mode programs. See the 
sample console mode
programs delivered with ICS (Their names begin with "con"). There are a lot of 
such sample, not all
are eaquels. It is worth looking at all before deciding which one to use.

Hi,

I have been using the THtmlSmtpCli for some time and it works great.  I have
some web based code and when I put this object in it, it doesn't seem to
work any more...  When I run Connect it seems to go into the smtpDnsLookup
state and stay there.  Is there anything I need to do to make it work in
this situation?
