eSMTP, compliant with RFC2487 (STARTTLS) and RFC2554 (AUTH) = YES
IMAPS = NO

There doesn't exist an IMAP client component, otherwise the "S"
could be added easily.

[twsocket] eSMTP and IMAPS - can ICS do this?

2009-07-04 Thread Max Wright

Hello All -

I need to write an application which sends and receives emails with
attachments over the UK's N3 network. Apparently "any method which supports
eSMTP, compliant with RFC2487 (STARTTLS) and RFC2554 (AUTH), and IMAPS,
(compliant with RFC2595), can be used". I've used ICS's SMTP and POP3
Clients in the past for normal email traffic, but am not sure if ICS can
meet these criteria. Any advice much appreciated.

Many thanks -

Max Wright
