I know exactly what you are talking about. Funny thing is that for me, this isn't a competition. If folks what to utilize this list, fine. If not, that's fine too. I can do it or not. Doesn't really matter to me. I will say one thing for sure. If I don't see any action on the list over the next few weeks, or possibly months, I won't keep it up. I see no need to spend good money on something that folks have no interest in.
Hard feelings? You know me better than that. :o)

BTW, it wasn't actually a question I was asking with my post. More like a sarcastic remark. :o)

Gary,
I almost commented to you on this when I saw your post last night about 300 or 400 posts.
You've got the same problem that the little Ace hardware store does when a Home Depot opens across the street from them.
Everyone on the list knows why as you should also, it's no secret. All the traffic is over on the Texas Fly Report. http://www.texasflyreport.com/
I've been watching the list steadily decline for the last 4 months (so have you). The main problem you have is it's only an e-mail list and unless you drastically change that the traffic will continue to dwindle. Your competition for traffic just flat out has you out gunned with what it is offering.
It's nothing personal, I'm sure that you realize that. I've been on this list since the day you started it and it's like watching an old friend fade away but there's nothing I can do about it. You've always wanted to maintain this as an e-mail discussion group but I think that the members wanted more than you could offer with the format. Someone else offered the format that they were looking for.
Hope this answers your question.
Roger
