Shalom everyone!
I hope everyone had a great New Year, and an easy fast (if
you did fast for Yom Kippur). As I have just returned home from being on
vacation for the past couple of weeks, I am sending this note out as a reminder
of the next couple of events. Please note, the Jew Bowl on Sunday,
September 22, may be postponed or cancelled due to a conflict of the event
leader (Josh); please watch your Email for any updates.
Also, I have been asked by Marianne Teichman to ask if
anyone is interested in a class on the Beginnings of Hasidic Movement, to start
in January. If anyone is interested, please contact Marianne directly, at

Jew Bowl II (The new version) -- Read the whole THING!: When: Sunday, September 22, 2002 Come out on September 22 for one of TJYP most
popular activities....Football. What makes this event great it isn't just
TJYP, but the Mosaic group will be joining us for this event. We invite
people of all skill levels. Hey if you don't want to play, come on out
anyway and root your friends on to victory.
What makes this Jew Bowl better is the new twist we
are throwing in the mix. Football season has already started for college
and soon for the professionals. After we play football we are all going to
go to Playmakers in Raleigh and watch the professionals on the Big Screen TV's
to see how it is really done. We aren't all from this area so come on out
and root your favorite team in action or just come and enjoy each others company
and rehash those great plays that were made on the field. If you don't
want to play football that is fine as well you can meet us at Playmakers.
The plan is to play football from 10-12:15 or so then head over to Playmakers
around 12:30. Football games begin at 1pm
Football Location:
Lake Crabtree County Park, Cary, NC
Time: 10:00 AM-12:15 PM Directions:
Take I-40 to Exit 285, Aviation Parkway. Turn
right if you're coming from I-40 east, and left if coming from I-40 west (go
south, away from the airport). Look for the entrance to Lake Crabtree Park on
the left in less than a mile. Park in the first lot on the right.
After-Football
Location: Playmakers, 3801 Hillsborough St, Raleigh, NC 27607
(919-743-5544)
Time: From 12:30 PM - ?? Directions:

St/Sanford. Take the NC-54/HILLSBOROUGH ST exit. Take a left at the fork in
ramp. Then take a left on Hillsborough Street. It is about a half a mile on the
