I was pointed off-list to the following interesting article from 2020, the
first attempt by ACM to provide some sort of public financial information.

I also received off-list the confirmation that Springer OA prices for ETAPS
are not public, but that they are in the $100-$200 range. It's interesting
that Springer's *price* is in line with the ACM publication *costs*

The real costs of online conferences are much less than for physical
ones, that is clear. However, it is not free of cost. The costs may
be:
* Publication costs (for example, LIPIcs charges 60 euros per paper)

Since I complained as last year about this, I've joined on the SPLASH
hybridization committee. My understanding so far is:
