when i was working on this site all worked fine, when we moved it to be

Just some checks to make sure:
- open install tool and check if all requirements are met
- clear all caches in install tool clear opcode cache
I don't how you 'moved it to be live', but under some conditions you might have
to remove all extbase cache tables.

hmmm, empty them, not _remove_ them of course ;-)
