Thanks for the suggestion. Now I have the result I was looking for. This
extension does the trick and renders the TV FCE content nicely into plain text.

I still have faith in getting Direct Mail working with TV. The mailchimp
template is already the one I am using right now. Your suggestion is not using
TemplaVoila for the DM extension?
