I am successfully doing so for ppc440epx and vxWorks 6.3 (u-boot 1.2.0).
In general u-boot can boot vxWorks (bootvx command).

I have built big standalone application for similar CPU (at92rm9200). I
use some RAM address to do so, namely LOAD_ADDR=0x2100.
See my make rules below.

Yes, I saw in u-boot depot though didn't try to run it yet (didn't get
reference design). Is it the same called "Interpid"?

if I could make it run directly
from RAM... just to program NAND. However it's not simple thing to do
for ppc440... but may be somebody has done it?
Thanks,

Doesn't look like this one supports ppc4xx - they have only Freescale in
power PC list...

This option is not used by any ppc4xx cpu AFAIK.

It's is not a problem it doesn't have Ethernet. It can be added easily,
but probably this is not necessary - image
removed entire
[INIT] section, but situation didn't change.
Moreover, when I set breakpoint to the function which surely is invoked
and do "reset run", I don't hit breakpoint (CPU boots till the end).

However nand_boot identifies second block of the flash (and only second
block!) as bad and doesn't copy it to RAM. If I ignore bad block,
everything works fine and also "nand ..." u-boot command doesn't see any
bad blocks.

Leonid.

Don't miss this year's exciting event. There's still time to save $100.
Use priority code J8TL2D2.

Hi, Nishanth:
Thank you for advice. Is any and
board///u-boot-nand.lds files available which support
such and option in u-boot tree (I use 1.2.0) or any other place or you
can send me example?
Thanks,
Leonid.

It works perfectly if I upgrade NAND u-boot image while running from
NAND. However if I happen to upgrade NAND image while running from NOR,
saveenv won't help. Minor issue of course...

Don't miss this year's exciting even
it in AIC
controller and/or on USART itself - nothing helps.
Is here anything I can do to fix the situation? Does anybody have
working init.S for this CPU, enabling interrupts properly (I am not sure
mine is correct)?
Thank
Hi:
When I try to boot vxWorks using u-boot on freescale mpc8544ds board, it
hungs. Does anybody have a patch which resolves the issue? I am using
1.3.0.rc3 u-boot, provided by freescale.
Thanks,
Leonid.
