I as wondering if anybody out there could possible serve as a resource for
me for moving from ObjectCall to Intercall for the middleware between
Datastage (7.5.1A) Unidata (7.1.x). I am in the process of looking through
the documentation as well, but thought maybe there might be a 3rd
Can anyone shed light on what manual(s) provide information about the various
udtconfig variables? I've looked in both Administering Unidata on Unix as
well as Installing and Licensing UniData with no luck.

I've found some stuff in the following for UniData version 7:
Administering UniData on UNIX (see Appendix A)
Using UniData (contains a little stuff on NULL values)
Using UniAdmin (describes the values even though is assumes you are using some
GUI tool)

The users are part of a workgroup, not a domain (dont ask).

Jeff, this can be done through GUI UniAdmin tool.
Start UniAdmin, select your server. Select Network Services. Select Telnet.
Select Users tab and here you will define your UniVerse users by name, and
directory you want them to attach to at login. The Help button describes the

offered their assistance. This is an off the books project I'm
working on, so naturally as soon as I posted my original query
everything else started catching fire. I've cut and pasted the

Thanks, that did it. Also note that the user must not be a local
administrator or it apparently will always prompt for an account no
matter what.
