[U2] XMAPOpen core dump

I'm testing some XML stuff locally on UV PE 11.2 and I've run into a problem I can't figure out. I hope someone else knows what's going on here and has a work-around. I'm running this test on CentOS 6.5 with UniVerse PE 11.2. I get a core dump as soon as I attempt the XMAPOpen. It appears

UniVerse. I want to create a dictionary item that extract value 178,1 I thought 1. I 2. EXTRACT(@RECORD,178,1,0) 3. . 4. . 5. 1L 6. S Would do but it does not give me the desired result. Any suggestions?

Just to make sure, you're wanting FIELD 178 and the first value of that field. Correct? Because you have a length of 1, left justified I want to make sure you're not looking for the first character of the 178th field. Maybe if you showed what you're wanting and what you're getting, instead,
