The index is in sorted order. If you want to sort only on the field, then the
list returned is in sort order.
So:
select file with field = [xx - indexed field
list file field field2 field3- will be sorted on field.

Why don't just used BDT it has online context sensitive help and like the
original poster said he uses the PDF.
