If UniVerse is running then the options are:
1, Stop UniVerse, copy, start UniVerse
2. SUSPEND.FILES ON; sync (recommend if Unix); copy; SUSPEND.FILES OFF
3. If you use a SAN or can split mirrors, then take a SAN snap or split a
mirror, and copy that elsewhere (the suspend is minimal)
4. Take
SUSPEND ON
Copy
SUSPEND OFF

With HP-Ux it is no problem at all. I do not stop or pause UV. I just
copy the data files. I have been doing this once-a-day for the last two
years.
