I thought first of oranges due to the starting 'sun kissed' phrase.

Personally, I find Yellowtail reasonable scoffing wine.

From a lot of the questions posted here, I have assumed that not many people
actually have support contracts these days. Or the support mechanism is too
difficult or complicated and it's quicker to ask here.

Is anyone using a RAMDisk with U2 files?

I have noticed that there are two types of ram disks within Linux - tmpfs
and /dev/ram1 which can be used to create a small file system.

Does anyone have any practical experience on these options?

Is there an effective option for MS-Windows?

 Cheers,

[U2] How to fnuxi a SQL table

2011-11-03 Thread Mark Eastwood
UV 10.0.13 on RH8.0

I tried to create a Trigger on a UV file, but got an error telling me to
fnuxi the UV_TABLES file.

But when I try to fnuxi it, I get another error saying it's an SQL file
and may not be fnuxi'ed. Details Below.

Any ideas how I can fix the UV_TABLES file?

Note; this system has been running for 10+ years, and may have migrated
from different hardware as some point

Thanks,

Mark

[U2] [UD] Can the type-ahead buffer be cleared on another udt

2011-11-03 Thread Dean.Armbruster
Often, when we use TANDEM to fix a udt that is in a do-forever or
otherwise stuck (in the users perspective), sending a BREAK (ESC+D)
does not work and we can't break in to the BP. We have discovered that
the reason for this is that the user, in their attempt to free up the
session, has entered END/DONE/QUIT/EXIT/etc. repeatedly to the point of
filling up the type-ahead buffer. When the type-ahead buffer is full,
Break does not work.

Is there any way to clear the type-ahead buffer of a udt, either from
another udt or via a unix command?

Re: [U2] How to fnuxi a SQL table

2011-11-03 Thread David Jordan
Hi Mark

I am sure I have fixed SQL Tables from uniadmin without any problems.
Sometimes there are conflicts in schemas, you would use VERIFY.SQL SCHEMA
schema FIX in other times, however I am not sure that will work for UV_TABLES
in the UV account. You may also be running into an issue of SQL permissions
above directory permissions.
