Does anyone on the list know if it is possible to run UV on Ubuntu
server? If so, I would love to be able to discuss off-line.
Thanks!

I have a similar prob on linux, esp with udcs processes, and esp with pooled
ones, i can kill of the users using deleteuser and the process is indeed
gone, but they still appear in listuser and continue to take a licence for
about 5 mins. It is a major headache when we are at the max number of
Did you create/drop the trigger while users were on the system? If yes
(and you keep your opened files in named commons), your users will
likely have to log off/on (or run CLEARCOMMON) to reset the file
pointers.

I've installed the UV PE edition on my Dell Latitude 2100n netbook running the
desktop version of Ubuntu 9.10. There are a few things you have to do pre- and
post-installation, but otherwise, it works great.

I wrote a basic program that uses stopudt and it seems to always work;
albeit sometimes with a time lag. I've also noticed that UniAdmin
doesn't always work. I'm in a UniObjects (UO.NET) development
environment and haven't had to reboot the Windows server because of
this, so I'm

Strangely enough - I just ran into this today. (UD Win 7.1.20).
Stopudt -f and udkill would kill them (although sometimes it took a while).
It took a very long while for the items to come out of listuser though.
I was testing a select list with more than 120 (and more than 256) key items
ie.

Gee Bill - how do you really feel ;)
We have some framework that creates an active select list (as we need it
to work with the SB+ selection process). I only had to change a couple lines
of code and strangely it seemed to run *much* faster.
Maybe try bringing it up with Rocket. Being more agile
Hi all,
I am building an xml parser and constructor using the XDOM functions in
Universe 10.1.0. Things are going fine until I get to use the XDOMAddChild
function. I can add single elements fine using the handles but I get an
error when adding a tree. The manuals indicate adding a tree is fine.
