Hi,
It is possible stop a resize on Universe?
How do I estimate when the resize will finish? It is possible monitor the
resize progress?

I can't speak for UV, but UD creates work files in a temp directory (that
you can specify at runtime). I've monitored this directory to guesstimate
status and completion time.

Hi Marcos,
With no options, it should be safe to stop the RESIZE as it copies the data
to a new file which it renames to replace the original afterwards. This new
file may be left behind (named resize) and can be deleted.
With the USING parameter, beware that the data is first copied to

Hi Marcos.
I've stopped resizes several times.
(Pay attention to the Martin's advices...)
You will have only one collaterall effect: the records that have been copied
will be marked as ReadOnly.
You have to run the utility bin/filepeek in order to unmark those records
(or try to resize again...)
Occasionally I get these errors:
==pid:3280 calling reportIpcState() == Current time=Thu Jul 08 13:38:35 2010
funcname:U_getshmadd(A), errno:0.
