It is the problem with a reliable product there are not enough issues to keep the list busy. If you had one of the competitor products there would be a ton of issues to deal with to keep multiple forums busy. Funny how buggy software can look good, because there are a ton of forums to deal

I don't know of anyone who actually relies upon uvbackup/restore for their backup/restore strategy. Other than supposedly support online backups and checking file integrity - I would see it's relatively slow speed as another reason not to utilise it. Other DB vendors tools tend to suffer from

Thinking back to Prime INFORMATION, that was the default behaviour. You could have deferred updates pending and still have new transactions update the indexes. But, then, in Prime INFORMATION BUILD.INDEX and UPDATE.INDEX were two separate commands, unlike the UniVerse implementation.
