Sorry for the late response, but what about the max keyword i.e. LIST file MAX
@ID?
It returns the maximum value equivalent to the first value listed in a sort
ascending i.e. the justification of the field will affect the order.

the way they wanted. I feel we need to give this the backing it deserves as it
still has the same team driving it, just with more freedom and scope to grow.
Thanks, my 2 cents worth.

There was a bug logged with IBM concerning SEARCH. I do not have the details
with me now but will dig them up in the morning when I am back at the office
and post them to the group. Your problem sound very similar to the problem
which was logged.

What version are you working on? Having tested with 10.1.18 it worked
fine, but on 10.2.0 we get the same behavior as what you describe, so it
seems to be a bug which has come into 10.2.

It is definitely on track for the UK. Susie was out here in South Africa

joining up with the one in the UK.

Hi Mike
Sorry I am responding so late. Another option you could use is to add to
your ReTrieve statement: TO docname. This will then send your XML output
to the XML file with no page breaks. Your syntax would be something
like:
EXECUTE LIST filename criteria TOXML TO xmldocname.
Thanks
Kurt
Yes, it is flavor dependant - it does not like the PICK or PICK like
flavours.

Hi
Test to see that you have your date format set correctly. As you have it
in the example it is in international format, yet by default UniVerse is
in American format. You can change this by running a DATE.FORMAT from
TCL.

If you go to the IBM website
(http://www-306.ibm.com/software/data/u2/pubs/library/100univ/univ_101.h
tml)
There is a manual there entitled: Moving to UniVerse from PI/open V 10.1
(G251-1921-00).

Are you using indices? This sounds like it could be a case of the index needing
to be rebuilt, as it is finding 140 records matching your criteria yet there
are only 139 on the actual file.

Which version of the database are you running with? If it is UniVerse you will need to
be on a 10.1 release else there is a performance issue.
