The problem (or not problem) with RAISE, is that it will also change all
other marks at the same time.
If you have a|b|c}d|e|f, and want a}b}c}d}e}f, you have to use CONVERT.
RAISE will give you a}b}c^d}e}f

NEWARRAY = CONVERT(VM,SVM,OLDARRAY)
Assuming VM = @VM or char(253) and SVM = @SM or char(252),
This will use the data in OLDARRAY, convert all Value Marks to Sub-Value

Another nice one is OCONV(Variable,MCT).
If initial value of Variable is TEST, result will be Test.

I had a client that attempted just what you are doing. After 2 years, and a
little over 2 million dollars spent, they went back to their home grown

Before Version 9.3.1, UniVerse on Windows NT used short user

No. Not true. My client's original VAR was Monolith. Their current var is
U2 Logic.
However, between vars, we did let our support expire, and then jumped back
in during the grace period IBM offered.

If so, can you give me a general overview... pros/cons... likes/dislikes...
