HTML to Universe conversion codes

2004-04-28 Thread Lee Messenger
Does anyone have a complete list of the unique HTML conversions 'codes' and
their Universe equivalents when passing data from an html page to Universe
using the form 'post' method. For example the string
 '%26' is '' in Universe.

Would you share this list with me?

Thank you in advance.

%40 @
%23 #
%24 $
%25 %
%5E ^
%26
%2A *
%28 (
%29 )
%3D =
%2B +
%5B [
%7B  {
%5D ]
%7D  }
%5C \
%7C |
%3B  ;
%3A :
%27 '
%22
%2C ,
%3C
%3E
%3F ?
%20
%0D%0A @am

Hope that helps.

RE: Barcode printing

2004-04-23 Thread Lee Messenger
We will be using our existing HP team printers to generate the barcodes.
Greg Bonebrake with PPI in St Louis sent me some code to generate 128
barcodes that works great.

Thanks again Greg for your quick response.

Are you looking to print barcodes as a component of another document, or
independent documents such as shipping labels, warehouse tags, and the like?
Is this something you're looking for dedicated barcode printers to service,
or attempting to leverage your existing HP gear?

 Subject: Barcode printing

I am attempting to identify a solution to printing barcodes from within
Universe basic. I have reviewed the archives at IndexFocus and found some
references to examples, however the 2 of 5 example only handles
 numeric data
and the link to the 128 barcode was no longer active.

Can anyone provide me with some information or examples.

We are a Windows environment with HP printers.

 Any assistance would be appreciated.

 Thank you,

Extracting data directly from dbf files...

2004-04-07 Thread Lee Messenger
Has anyone developed any processes to natively read '.dbf' type files from
within Universe basic?

I know we could use ODBC or UniObjects but prefer a more direct approach.

RE: Text file to PDF

2004-03-30 Thread Lee Messenger
Trevor,

We have used a utility called 'txt2pdf' since 1999 and it has worked and
performed very well. It integrates well and is quite reasonably priced.
Look for it at www.sanface.com

(By the way, we receive no gratuities/royalties for this suggestion.)

And now for something completely different!

Any help or suggestions regarding converting out text reports in the HOLD
file to PDF files for subsequent e-mailing.

Cheers
