RE: [UV] Problem reactivating select list

2004-04-26 Thread Mark Eastwood
Humm...got me there...don't know when they added the ability to create
Triggers on Non-SQL tables?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but on UV 9.6 I think I'd have to
 convert every
UV file to a SQL table to be able to use a trigger.

RE: How to schedule upl program in pick basic

2004-04-23 Thread Mark Eastwood
Reddy - please respond to the List (not directory to me).

The Wizard will walk you through most of the Steps, the only fields you
need to set are;
Run: - Enter something like; D:\uv\bin\uvsh.exe PHANTOM RUN BP
PROGRAMNAME
Start In: - Directory Path of UV Account
Run as: - User Name Password (you may need domain; domain\userid ?)

Oh, and you may need to review your Login VOC item; make sure it doesn't
start a menu if phantom.

RE: How to schedule upl program in pick basic

If W2k you can use the Scheduled Tasks feature (start, settings, control
panel) to kick off TCL commands.

If Unix use Cron.

I have upl which calls a set of basic programs. The set of
 programs will
create text files form Universe datanase. Can anyone tell me how to
schedule the UPL so that i can run the upl everday at particular time.

Yes.

On this topic, does the proc statement
 [PQ.LIB OTHER.PROC] 100
 work on U2's. Just wondering.

RE: UniVerse and Backup Exec

2004-02-19 Thread Mark Eastwood
We're running UniVerse 10.0.4 (a known baddie as it is) and
Backup Exec, tho' which I don't know off hand. We also get plenty app
 errors
Sorry, I missed the original post...but for what it's worth - we also run
UV10.0.4 on W2k and use Backup Exec with no problems. Only comment is you
should install an OFM (open file manager), we use St. Bernard.

Good luck, Mark.
