DataVu uses UOJ and JDBC. When you actually *run* the queries it does it via
SQL. Remember that DataVu can use more than one data source, including SQL
databases. This keeps everything uniform and always you to use those data

functionality that doesn't come with the Personal Edition.
Since you are getting Start SMM first, you probably have not started the

As of the March release of U2 DBTools (downloadable free from our site), I
would advise that you use XAdmin, not UniAdmin. XAdmin now encompasses all the
functionality relating to UniData that was in UniAdmin. It also allows you to
'extend it' yourself if you have Java programmers available.

I needed this once for a test program I was writing (not production code).
To do it, I cheated a bit and used the socket API and used a blocking command,
which did support timeouts with millisecond granularity. Works like a charm; at
least in the cases when you don't have to worry about people

Objects which does help with the parsing 'till I'm blue in the face when

There was a known issue whereby doing a STATUS call on a file that no longer
has a valid owner will cause an access violation.
As you are iterating over every file, this seems like a plausible cause.
