Well first, AMO is dual linear not slant. But if we run single pol cpe on
those AP, we usually run them hpol. It is usually quieter and goes thru
trees better in my experience. But a dual pol cpe is preferred since it
achieves higher data rates.

I don't think we've seen this. Have a link in production for ~3 months.

Try manually setting the ACK and make sure you're running the latest
firmware. If you're on the 7.1RC, I'd try downgrading to the latest 7.0
stable.

Dual Polarization Antennas (DP) are antennas which use the Vertical and
the Horizontal plane (+90°, -90°).
Dual Slant Antennas (DS) are very similar but they use the +45° and -45°
planes.

Due to time constraints I shelved our MFis. Now looking into firing them up
for a wintertime project for tower monitoring purposes. Before when we
played with them they were fully DHCP. With newer firmware are you able to
set them up statically with an IP? None of my networks are really set up for
You could always setup a small DHCP server that ignores everything but
the MACs of the mFI devices, and setup static registration for them.

Version 2.x supports static IP. Current is 2.1.4. There are some new
features included that don't require controller (depending on the
equipment).
