Re: [Ubnt_users] V6 on v8.0
I don't know why they have not but I am thinking when it comes to the large packets of a ipv6 network, there may be some issue with sharing the air time. Sure you can tunnel ipv6 over it and it will get chopped up with MTU but Native? Doesn't that imply that over a wireless network you wont be chopping packets with a MTU and if so how do you share the air time? I know when we were testing some time ago with NATPT we had issues with MTU's messing up tunnel and had to drop MTU sizes over our wireless to support the large packet and when you do that your overhead gets even higher. What happens when you have no MTU? *Alex Phillips* CEO and General Manager RBNS.net HighSpeedLink.net *WISPA.org Board of Directors ** (2011-2017)* *WISPA President (2015-2017)* *540-908-3993* On Tue, Jan 17, 2017 at 7:52 PM, Shawn C. [Ubnt_users] 15 mile link limitation on AC
https://community.ubnt.com/t5/airMAX-AC/Rocket-AC-ACK-Distance-No-Ack-option/m-p/1214127#M4915 Are there any work around.I setup a new AC network to upgrade our M network and its not working for clients 15+ miles. Since this is a mountain top network so its sees out far. Need to keep seeing out far. I am dreading having to switch to another product if this can't be resolved. Re: [Ubnt_users] DFS on AC
To say its a Sham, may be a little harsh. OS8 does a better job at the issue however essentially if a PrismAC radio sees activity on the DFS channel you are on that is not part of its session list, it runs away and goes to another channel. I think its physically impossible for these class of radio systems to actually detect the difference between Radar and just Signal on that band. I have had these discussions with UBNT, as well as others who use other radio products and I think false detect is a common problem on all platforms, not just UBNT. The FAA really threw a fit about this issue and the FCC made this a very strict certification requirement and so this is all that can be done. Even AF5 has this issue. We are going to start running a script that checks the radio ever 10 mins and if the freq has changed its going to change it back. I guess if there is a war going on between dfs logic and our logic, this may not work. I also wonder if the channel list can be limited. I don't see it in the UI. Perhaps UBNT folks listening can lend a hand here. *Alex Phillips* CEO and General Manager RBNS.net HighSpeedLink.net *WISPA.org Board of Directors ** (2011-2017)* *WISPA President (2015-2017)* *540-908-3993* On Thu, Oct 20, 2016 at 2:37 PM, James Craig via Ubnt_users < ubnt_users@wispa.org> wrote: > Hi Guys, > > airMAX radios should only jump to another channel if a RADAR hit is > detected. Re: [Ubnt_users] Unexpected reboot warning in UBNT radios
yes it means that there was some type of issue that made watch dog reboot your radio, unless you have a ping watchdog on the radio, in which that is what did it The file just needs to be renamed to a .tar file then opened like a compressed file, then you can see all the wonderful files in there that may or may not tell you what went wrong. My suggestion is to open ticket up with ubnt support and send them the file to tell you what happened and how to fix it. *Alex Phillips* CEO and General Manager RBNS.net HighSpeedLink.net *WISPA.org Board of Directors ** (2011-2017)* *WISPA President (2015-2017)* *540-908-3993* On Thu, Sep 1, 2016 at 3:52 PM, Eduardo <eme...@webjogger.com> wrote: > Hi guys, > > I’ve got this message in some of our M2, M5 and M365 radios after the > upgrade to v5.6.5. > > Has anyone seen this Unexpected reboot warning? I am in a heavy 5ghz area so AF5 is hard to get working. We have AF24HD but at 3miles we get rain fade. I have an 11Ghz mimosa now and its running fine but I need a back up. AF3 would be great but not in my area cuz I am in an exclusion zone. This is also a heavy 2.4ghz area so would AF2 just barrel through it or is it going to be not usable.
