I had one at home do the exact same thing this weekend. I was able to
do the firmware recovery (I think), as it accepted a tftp upload after
holding the reset for 8 seconds after power-on. The two ports I had PoE
enabled on did turn on once a couple of reboots after the recovery, but
then
WILL NOT ACCEPT -48VDC
(positive on Earth/chassis/tower ground) AT ALL! If an “X” radio has
been powered by -48VDC with respect to case (tower ground) it will
surely be damaged!*

I'm reading that as "yes, you can power it with -48VDC."

24HD shares the same PCB, so the same applies for that.

Hi,
Is the AF24's internal power supply isolated in such a way that it can
be powered with -48VDC, like other telco equipment with a positive
ground, or will this cause a short when mixed with other -48VDC
equipment on the same ground plane?
Thanks,

Hi,
This is going to sound crazy, but here we go...
Has anyone seen packet loss across an AF5x link that occurred exactly
every 30 seconds? I have a couple of links, on completely different
towers, that drop packets every 30 seconds. I can observe it using the
MikroTik traffic generator, or
net?

down/up super fast (I would get about 1 packet lost per 5 minutes).
