The first time I ever heard that happen was after nvda was installed on a
windows disk I use in a faster computer. That's a very good feature
though nvda doesn't yet talk very well with opnoffice yet. Fortunately
nvda is open source and written in python.

I'll jump on this wagon too.
My only requirement is an audible sound whilst the progress bar is
incrementing and then an alarm / othre sound once the bar is complete.
Whether that is spoken or sound I don't really mind.
