There has been a bookmarking functionality for some time, but it was rather
hidden (was only accessible from the HUD).
It has recently been made more accessible. To (un)bookmark a page, open the
activity view, and tap the star icon for the corresponding page. In the

This works in a plain oxide webview, so the problem is in the code that
parses the contents of the address bar and rewrites it if it thinks it
should be searched in a search engine.
