Aren't the three evenly-spaced vertical green bars with increasing length, the same thing as the standard wireless icon on most systems? I think they were blue in Ubuntu 10.04 and earlier, but they are green in Windows 7. White on Android. But the same concept remains: three or four increasingly-long vertical bars, evenly spaced. If that's true, then many people would misinterpret this icon as having to do with wireless :) Other opinions? Re: [ubuntu-art] Introduction Request
Hey, Alexander, I really like rbpitch5 and rect3813-0! rbpitch7 looks kind of like a certain rude gesture ;-) I might consider swapping out the excellent tuning fork from Saleel for rect3813... but it would be great if you could use the same pattern as 3813, but with the little horizontal slices like rbpitch5. So, combine the slices style of rbpitch5 / 7 with the vertical bar sizes of rect3813. That would be great! I'll still include saleel's svg in the distribution since it is a small file and people might prefer it, but I could switch the default if you make the requested change. I'd really appreciate that!! :) Thanks, Sean On Mon, Jan 31, 2011 at 1:34 AM, Alexander King alexanderddk...@gmail.com wrote: Mk here are some more mock ups http://dl.dropbox.com/u/2869749/rbpitch5.png http://dl.dropbox.com/u/2869749/rbpitch7.png http://dl.dropbox.com/u/2869749/rect3813-0.png -- Kind regards, Alexander King Oxodise Media | ABN: 93 128 144 953 310 24 oxo (310 24 696) | enquir...@oxodise.com | www.oxodise.com -- ubuntu-art mailing list ubuntu-art@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-art -- ubuntu-art mailing list ubuntu-art@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-art

Re: [ubuntu-art] Introduction Request
Those are really nice! :) I'll put combined.svg into the UI when I get a chance (probably tomorrow) and show you a screenshot of it in the UI, and compare with the tuning fork. Both are worthy icons. :) Thanks, Sean On Mon, Jan 31, 2011 at 2:37 AM, Alexander King alexanderddk...@gmail.com wrote: lol maybe it does look a little like that like this http://dl.dropbox.com/u/2869749/rbpitch9.png http://dl.dropbox.com/u/2869749/rbpitch8.png http://dl.dropbox.com/u/2869749/combined.svg is you want to tweak the clock it should be merged so just open the svg in inkscape and move it around :) -- Kind regards, Alexander King Oxodise Media | ABN: 93 128 144 953 310 24 oxo (310 24 696) | enquir...@oxodise.com | www.oxodise.com -- ubuntu-art mailing list ubuntu-art@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-art -- ubuntu-art mailing list ubuntu-art@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-art
